I've asked this before in Word Newusers

I'm still looking for a way in Word XP to layer a textured bg, and a graphic
over canvas with the text wrapped around the graphic. This makes a very
clean, neat CD/DVD Jewel Case insert. I can do it in Word, but it's not very
stable and takes too long to finish each insert. Suzanne, if you happen upon
this post, I know that you deal with me and this question in the Word
Newusers NG, but I thought that maybe a group that dealt more with page
layout here might have an idea or two about how this can be done. There are
only 3 items I need to show....the bg, the graphic, and the text-wrapped
synopsis text. I only used the single table box and one text box. The table
idea that Ms. Suzanne S. Barnhill had worked somewhat. The text wrapped the
graphic okay once I finally got it in the correct position and it stopped
jumping around all over the place. Any more ideas, anyone... please?

As a matter-of-fact, I haven't found any software that does it, either.
Patti from Moon's Designs is still trying to create a tutorial for creating
it in PSP 7 or 8. If anyone has had experience with creating an insert using
these 3 combinations, I sure would appreciate hearing from you, or if you
know of any software that will accomplishes it.

Thank you for taking time to read.this request!

Best regards,
Bill

Have you tried any of the software written specifically to make CD labels,
Jewel Case inserts? Have you tried Microsoft Publisher? Have you tried a
drawing program? While Word has some drawing features, it is a Word
processor designed primarily to handle letters, memos and reports.

Help from Suzanne Barnhill on laying out pages is likely to be the best help
you'll get for Word.

I probably mentioned it last time, but Surething CD Labelling software is
the simplest way of producing professional quality CD/DVD covers and labels.
It will do graphics, backgrounds, text wrap and just about anything else you
can think of. I wouldn't dream of using Word for this.

Thanks a lot, Charles and Graham for your input. I will check out
"Surething". Charles, you are right! Suzanne has a wonderful working
knowledge of Word plus a lot more and she's a fine and very helpful person.
One of my very favorites for sure!

I think we have all become dependant on Word for everything.

Best regards,
Bill
