I've downloaded the office xp updates but now none of my document.

Last night I downloaded the recommended updates to Office XP. However, now I
can't open any of my saved documents in Word or Excel. Even if I save a new
test document and immediately try to open it, I get a "document not
available" error message. I've tried saving to my c drive, the desktop, and
a removable disk but I still get the same error message. What's going on?

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus. See
