Hello Everybody,
I use Word 2002.
Recently, something happened to my beloved 400 page manual. Suddenly,
fractions that I had created using Equation Editor no longer appeared in page
layout view. (They continued to appear in Print Preview, however.) In their
place, there are outline boxes.
Also, graphics that had been pasted into tables no longer appear in page
layout view, only outline boxes.
At the same time, I've also noticed that when I try to paste a new graphic,
all that displays in page layout view is an outline box. (These aren't place
handles, by the way, as I cannot pull to resize them in any direction like
you can regular graphic place handles.) Once again, the images do appear
perfectly in print preview - but only in print preview.
I'm stumped. I've tried tools/options/pring/display drawing objects.
That's having no effect.
I've also tried reducing the Hardware Accellerator by going to control
panel/display/settings/advanced/hardware accellerator. Again, no effect.
I also checked to see if I could paste graphics into other prograpms, like
Paint. No problems there. I have no difficulty pasting graphics into Paint.
Finally, whatever this adorable glitch is, it's having no effect on any of
the many, many other graphics already in my document - only my graphics
created with Equation Editor and those inside tables appear affected (along
with any new graphics I might try to paste).
My problem is:
1. I'd like to see my Equation Editor graphics and graphics in tables in
page layout view (not just print preview)
2. If I try to paste a new graphic, it only displays a box that cannot be
resized or moved;
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
