I've tried the problems opening word link....

I am running Office2000 and am getting the
infamous "WINWORD.EXE has generated errors" message
whenever I run Word. I have tried the reinstall, the
repair, checking NAV, renaming normal.dot, checked for any
word files in word's startup, disabling the animated
helper, and deleted the data key in the registry.....and
yet I'm STILL getting the error.

Is there anything else that could cause this, or any other
links that would have any more ideas?

I'm out of ideas, then, except perhaps a reluctant suggestion to try
starting in Windows Safe Mode, though I'm not sure what that would
accomplish.
