J-Bots 2004

I wish to rotate pictures on my site using the banner ad function. Linking
URL's is not necessary. Using FP 2002, I published a trial page but found out
that no banner pictures displayed. My Java script & applets are ticked under
Page options.

I know that there is a problem with FP 2003, but can find no solution to my
problem in FP2002 - even FP2002 Help files do not seem to recommend Java's
use. If IE does not run Java automatically, and surfers have to turn it on,
how can one run banner ads anyway?

I had thought to purchase J-Bots 2004 as an alternative. But I presume it
too runs on normal Java scripts. If so, would there be any point in
purchasing J-Bots?

Java and Javascript are not the same.
What problem do you believe there is with FP2003?
Java requires a JVM. This hasn't been included with windows since WIN XP
SP1a. That means a lot of users can't see Java Applets unless they
install SUNs JVM. As many see Java (on the client) as a security risk a
lot of people wont install it. So using Java Applets is not the way to
go. Most people will allow Javascript.
