Japanese fonts in Excel

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I can use Japanese and English fonts in Office X-Word but I can't use Japanese fonts in Excel.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

I am not sure of what other info I could provide to help you in mactopia land help me.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

You should be able to find an application called "Japanese Language
Register" somewhere in the "Microsoft Office" folder. The sub-folder might
be called "Other Applications", I've forgotten. If you launch that
application and choose to register Excel as Japanese, you will be able to
use Japanese fonts and other Japanese-specific functionality.
