Japanese IME Pad does not open

I recently set up the Japanese IME bar on my PC. I am running XP Home and
Office 2000. Tlanguage bar works flawlessly except for the IME Pad. I cannot
get it to open. Clicking the button does nothing. No error message. Is there
a way to reinstall the IME, or....?

Hi Nikuki,

You may want to also post this in the Word International
Features newsgroup (link below).

The group you linked to does not exist...
Anyway, I noticed that another user also posed this question back in 2004
with no reply. He also has XP Home. My friend has XP Pro and can use the IME
Pad. I wonder if that is the problem. Also, I have SP1.
