Japanese OS and English Office

I am using Japanese OS and would like to install Office but in English
version. Can I use the Office as Japanese version or do I have to install
Japanese version of Office?

I used to install English version of Office 98 in Chinese Windows, and for
most case it runs Ok.

Now most programs supports Unicode(MS Office 2000+ I think), so I suppose
you won't have any problem with English version of Office 2003.

FYI - Office 98 is for the pre-OS X.xx Mac OS.

Then it's my memory wrong. I actually remember it's Office 9X but have fade
idea what X is. :)

And forgot to mention, the Windows version is CHT Win98.
