Since I upgraded to Word 2004, I've had a major if trivial difficulty
importing into InDesign CS. Even though I have very carefully NOT
enabled Japanese language features (as noted in the help item "Adjust
line break control settings for East Asian text"), I'm getting Kinsoku
settings added to my paragraph styles as local formatting, so that when
I get into InDesign, all the paragraphs in Body Text, a pre-defined CS
style, still come in "Body Text+" with only the Kinsoku settings making
for the +.
Even though it's trivial, it's major to me because I don't have Japanese
enabled in Indesign CS either, and there's no way to strip out this
local formatting, apparently.
So, is there any way to keep Word from sending it out? Should I try
saving as a lower Word version? Is it a bug or a "feature"?
cheers
