Japanese phonetic guide in Word X

Stéphane LAMACQ

I am using an english version of Word X with Mac OS 10.2.6. I
registered Word as japanese with the Microsoft language register and
the phonetic guide function is now in the format menu but the phonetic
guide display is not correct. It should be above the character but it
is before with a comma. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Hi Stéphane,

The phonetic guides are done with Eq fields.
No offence intended: You do know about "Tools > Options > View > Field
codes" resp. its keyboard shortcut Shift+F9?
Can you give an example of an Eq field that doesn't display properly?

I'm coming to this a little late: You mean the "Tools" menu in Word? I don't
see an "Options" there.

That's because it's a "Windows oriented" answer :)

In Word X, it's called "Preferences" (and not "Options") and they are in the
application menu.

Well, that explains it. :)

Good catch. Klause is talking PC :). Tools> Options on the PC equals
Edit> Preferences on the Mac.

I have Office 2000 on a Windows PC, but it's all Japanese. You haven't lived
until you navigate Office in Japanese.

I don't use it very often... :\ (Mostly to download stuff from the MS Office
Gallery, which won't work with Office Mac.)

Klaus is talking PC :).

Talking PC in a Mac group is definitely politically incorrect...

Sorry!
