Hi Imya,
I have an English version of Word and MSs IME installed on my computer. I would like to be able to spell check my Japanese word processing. I also have a Japanese version of Word on another computer. Does anyone know what files I should copy over in order to spell check Japanese inputted via IME?
Whether this is even possible depends to an extent on the version of Word both machines are running. Unfortunately, you neglect to tell us this...
That aside, you need to be aware that what you propose is technically considered software piracy
What might work (and would still not really be legal), would be
- uninstall the English version of Word
- insert the CD for the Japanese version, choose a CUSTOM install, and install ONLY the proofing tools
- install the English version of Word
Note that this kind of thing is definitely NOT supported by Microsoft, and it could lead to things like mixed language messages in word and in Windows.
For things to be legal, and work correctly, the best thing to do would be to purchase proofing tools that will also take care of setting up and installing.
