Java won't run correctly for Discussion Groups

For some reason I always get a Javascript error when I'm in Office Discussion
Groups. The problem causes me to not be to see messages in the reading pane
and I can't post or reply (I'm using a co-worker's computer right now.) I
just installed the latest version of Java on my machine too. Any suggestions?
