Jet4 SP8 cannot handle long form names!!!

Hi Everyone.

Immediately after I installed Jet4 SP8 I had strange problems ('Operation
not supported in transactions' error during compact and repair, Access not
willing to close) in a database I was working on. After some wrestling with
Access (2000) and sending error reports to Microsoft, it became clear to me
it had to do with the long form names I used. I suspect the problem extends
to long tabel names, etc.
I've used restore to get rid of SP8 but I still get the transactions error
(after importing my 'healty' backup into a clean database) and forms with
long names are kicked out of the database!
I hope Microsoft will withdraw this update.

Any specifics on how long is too long?

The longest name is 50 chars (the main form has 5 times nested subforms).
