Job Rotation app?

PPM at Brackmills

I run a warehouse of 900+ staff, there are 7 functions/jobs that they do,
they have a mix of skills (some have all skills, some have only 1 or 2) I
need an application, either excel or access based that will ensure that each
person gets a fair share of the easier jobs. Does anyone know of an
application that does this already? Or a developer/software house based in Uk
who can provide this?

This question is very simplistic. If you think you might know of a
package/Developer who could provide this but would need further info, please
respond and I'll send more details...

Hi,

There is a feature in Excel called Solver which can be set up to address
these types of problems. How difficult this is I don't know. However, there
is a sample file on how to use solver which is installed when you install
Excel, it includes an example sheet called Staff Scheduling. The file name
is SOLVSAMP.XLS. It is usually found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
12\Samples
