Work within SIM technical team as security engineer.
Job Description
This is a security engineering position that will focus on audit
readiness and general security best practices and will require strong
technical abilities.
Candidates must fully understand current security best practices and
technologies.
Functions will include evaluating servers and network equipment for
vulnerabilities and government compliance requirements.
Candidates will be responsible for developing comprehensive mitigation
strategies, using security tools for scanning, network monitoring,
penetration testing, and database security.
Candidates will work to create and supplement security policy and
procedures.
Additional functions will include security architectural design and
technical security support for other areas.
Required & Desired Skills
Strong understanding of security best practices
Strong knowledge of securing network equipment
Strong knowledge of security monitoring and scanning tools
Strong knowledge of system vulnerabilty management
General UNIX/LINUX knowledge
General Novell knowledge
Government compliance experience
General firewall technology knowledge
Security+ certification
CISSP Certification
IT Work Experience
