John Mcghie A4 manual question

Hi there.

I would very much like to use Mr. John Mcghies manual; I believe in standing
on the shoulders of a genius instead of climbing a ladder myself
However I do have one question:

I need to be able to make each footer different than the previous one,
because in my document each page can have a different revision date and
revisionnumber. As I recall this can only be done by inserting section
breaks on each page, and here comes the tricky part: When I do insert the
section breaks in the template created by J.M, the header converts to "first
page header" and I don't know how to change this back to an even/odd-page
header, which I would like to do, since the first page header should be
different, i.e containing nothing. Any suggestions?

You can clear the "Different first page" option for each section on the
Layout tab of Page Setup. But instead of inserting a lot of section breaks,
you might want to explore the StyleRef field to see if this might accomplish
what you want. If you have the revision number somewhere on the page in a
distinctive style (paragraph or character style; it can't be Hidden text,
but it can be very small and white), the StyleRef field will pick it up.
