Joinging or merging tables?

In WP, there is a button on my toolbar I push and, presto,
tables are joined together. Is this possible in Word?

Naturally, usu. one has a similar or exact configuration,
granted. We can leave configuration issues aside for this
question as it's usually a moot point.

Hi Dylan,

Let's say you have:
<Table 1>
<Some text>
<Table 2>
and that you wanted to join <Table 1> and <Table 2> without losing <Some
text>

Select <Some text>;
CTRL-X (cut <Some text>);
<Table 1> and <Table 1> should be automatically joined;
Place the cursor right under what used to be <Table 2> and is now part of
<Table 1>;
CTRL-V (paste <Some text>).
