Joining queries

I make up a query that consist of 20 fields. After i run the query and print
it out, I go to some of the fields and circle all the ones in that column.
Then I go to other fields and circle all numbers over 400 in that column.
Then i may go to another column and circle all number above 500. This
requiers a lot of time especially if i have 3 or 4 queries like this.
I know in a report one can use formatting to shade these different numbers.
Is there any other way to do this formatting without making a report for my
queries?
Thanks for any help

No. And I serously doubt that you realy want to allow users
(even yourself) to be fooling around with live data. A
report sounds like the ideal mechanism for this exercise.

On a continuous form you could use conditional formatting to "shade" the
relevant cells.

You can also do the same in a report.

Conditional formatting became available with Access 2000. It allows you
to set up to three conditions per control, pluse the original formatting.
