Journal has stopped recording files

I use the journal to review time spent on certain documents but it has not
recorded any files since April this year. I have tried going to the options
dialogue box and the items are ticked to be recorded but there is nothing
coming up in the journal. When I change the view to entry list, the latest
file in dated in April.

Any thought?

Janette,

Do you have any Outlook add-ins installed? We were having this
problem for a while with an add-in, but then fixed it in our add-in
code. Also, what version of Microsoft Outlook are you running?

I have the exact same issue using Outlook 2003 with an Exchange server. I can
manually add entries (which I do regularly) but I rely on the Journal
tracking Office documents so I can estimate my time for billing clients.

Thank you for your reply. I do not think I have add-ins installed or at
least I know nothing has changed from when Outlook did record to when it
stopped recording. I am running Outlook 2003.

I also have this problem with Outlook 2007. As with Lila, I can manually add
entries, but non are added automatically. I have already checked my settings
and they appear correct. Help would be appreciated.

Have you had any luck with getting Journal to start recording files again? I
am having the same problem. I use Outlook-2003 and, perhaps coincidentally,
my program stopped recording entries in April 2007 as well.

I too, am having the same problem. Its automatically tracked Word and Excel
files until Nov 07. The registry entries look correct. I've "repaired" the
install. Can manually add, and it tracks emails automatically. Anyone know
what gives? ABB
