Journal is an annoyance

Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2002. For the last 7 years since I installed it, each
time I try to click on inbox and miss, I hit journal and then have to sit
there and wait while things hang briefly, then get a message hassling me to
make my computer even slower by turning Journal on.

I can't remove it, I can't hide it, I can't even move it to be somewhere
other than next to my inbox.

7 years is enough.

I can take no more.
