Journal not in pull down for Activities in "Public Contacts" Excha

I have several contact folders, personal and a Exchange Sever Public flolder
Contacts for our office. I can see the journal in the others but not in the
Public folder. Is there a setting on the server or does Outlook not support
it on shared folders?
