Journal not posting Excel, Word, Visio, etc.

To all

I am running Windows XP Home and Office 2000. Some time ago, Journal stopped logging all activity (don't know the reason!). I finally reinstalled Office under the Repair scenario and emails then began posting. However, applications (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) do not post to the Journal. Since it worked before, I should be able to re-instate this valuable function, but so far no luck.

I read through a number of the postings and see that others have this problem, but I was unable to determine any fix or procedure to fix

Can anyone help??
