I pasted it as text and when I pasted it, OneNote recognized it as a placecd
image (like a picture).

Is it pasted as a background image? You can tell by right clicking anywhere
on the image. The context menu will list an option to "Set Picture As
Background". If that box is checked, simply uncheck it and you will have a
text document that is editable within the OneNote page.

I pasted it as text and when I pasted it, OneNote recognized it as a
placecd
image (like a picture).

How did you capture that text? Did you use Screen Clipping or did you
select the text and copy it to the clipboard with CTRL+C or Copy?
