Journal wont record word/Excell files even with it setup

After adjusting settings in MS outlook (Journal Options) the Journal wont
record Word and Excell files that have been worked on.

I have even adjusted the "regedit" / AutoJournaled data files as suggested
in the help section of Outlook.

Any ideas?

Yes they are,
all are 2003 SP2 (MS Office small buisness ed 2003)
