Jpeg pictures print as solid black boxes.

I have created a catalogue in Publisher with .jpeg pictures inserted from a
file, some are okay but most are printing as solid black boxes. The print
preview shows them perfectly.

Are you actually inserting the jpg's or just linking to them?

Printer driver is the latest available.

Nothing whatsoever to do with Publisher. Update your printer driver.

I've got a stand-alone PC so they are on my hard drive.

It has to do with the resolution. If the images are very high-resolution you
might have problems. Down sample your pictures in an editing program.
If you decrease the resolution in your printer dialog, do the images print?
You can disable the Windows spooler. Open the printer folder, right-click your
printer, properties, advanced tab, click Print directly to the printer.

It worked!! I re-sized the photos and then they printed perfectly. Thank
you SO much.
