jpegs wont show when uploaded to web

joe

I have created a web page in word 2002 with jpeg
graphics. When the page is uploaded the text and layout
is correct but the images show the 'not loaded' red X. I
have tried different picture formats and every setting on
word and IE6, can anyone help?....

Is it anything to do with embedding an image? If so how
do I go about it?....cheers

Hi Joe,

If you use File=Save As Webpage in Word 2002
(either regular or filtered) and save directly
to your webhost the graphics are uploaded and
any path corrections needed are made by Word.

If you are uploading manually the path statements
to linked graphics may be pointing back to your
hard drive or you may not have uploaded the support
folder for the document that contains the graphics.
If your page is named Index.htm then the Word default
folder is named \Index_files.

You can have Word keep the graphics in the same folder
as the .htm file on your hard drive by turning off
the use supporting folders choice in
Tools=>Options=>General=>[Web Options]
