jpg and wmv do not open - grey screens - OS 10.6

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop This is a common problem with 10.6 users:

Email attachments of wmv and jpg are not viewable. They open in QuickTime Player and Preview, but only gray screens show up.

However, when the files are saved then open directly, they work just fine.

Any suggestions? I have updated to the most recent Flip4Mac.
