JPG BMP or gif FILE

Tom

I have Word 2002 and on the main menu, I selected INSERT,
then PICTURE and then WORD ART.

I then selected a Word Art style from the pallete and
created a logo.

My question is, how do I save the logo as a JPG, BMP or
GIF file ?

Thanx
Tom

Hi Tom,

If you use File=>Web Page Preview then use
Start=>Run and type
%TEMP%
you should find a subfolder of your temp folder
that has the graphics, including the Wordart item
from your document saved as a .GIF.

Thanx for the info. I got as far as typing in %temp% and
looking at all the folders, but could not find any
folders with a graphics saved as a GIF file.

When I creat the logo in Word, how do I save
it......Word document, RTF document etc and where do I
save it, which folder.....or does it make a difference.

Thanx
Tom

If you save the document as a Web page, then Word will create a folder named
<filename>_files in the folder where you save the HTML document. In that
folder will be some GIFs and JPEGs, which will be the graphic elements it
has saved out of the document (you'll have to view "All Files" to see them).
One of those will be your logo, which you can resave under a more
descriptive name than img001.gif or whatever.
