Jpg Image Low Colour

I have jpg images in a form displayed using the Image
Control with the image path stored in the database table.
The functionality is working fine but the images are
displayed in very low colour & do not look like they
should. The same jpg file displays fine in Explorer but
will not display correctly in the Access form. Any ideas
how to resolve this problem??
