jpg images printing in triplicate from word and powerpoint

Currently using Windows 2000, Word 2003, Powerpoint 2003 combination, when I
insert jpg images into documents, they appear okay in Powerpoint or Word on
the screen but when they are printed or converted to pdf format, all images
print/appear in triplicate. Images are the same size as expected and in print
preview appear okay but there are three images squished into the one image
when printing. Tried different printers and all do the same.

In Word, try turning off background printing in Tools | Options |
Print. In Windows, try turning off printing spooling and/or
advanced text services in Start | Control Panel | Printers |
<right-click on your printer> | Properties.
