JPG into PP

Does anyone know an automated way to bring a large number of JPG's
into a PP presentation?

The insert slide > insert picture > routine for each slide is very
tedious and time consuming.

I tried to drop and drag the jpgs from their folder into PP but that
did not work.

Any help would be apprectiated.
