jpg/WORD problem

I have a g4 powerbook with tiger and office 2004.
When I insert a jpg file into WORD it appears black.
If I open the jpg with preview, select it, copy it and paste it into
Word it is fine.

What can i do to get the jpgs to insertt correctly?

Already answered this in public.mac.office

Word will only take RGB images, not CMYK. This is the likely reason.
