JPGs & MHTs Misbehaving After Update

M

Melissa

I recently installed the Office 2000 updates, and since
then, I'm experiencing seriously bad behavior with .JPGs
and .MHTs.
JPEG files, which never posed a problem in the past, won't
convert. I cannot open, download, save or process, jpgs in
any way.
2.) .MHT files. Prior to upgrading, I have always
saved webpages in the "web archive, single file.mht"
format, simply for the convenience of having one file
instead of two. The single-files always retained full
graphics and functionality.
Since the upgrade, however, my .mht files are no longer
readable. They open in a retrograde text form, without
graphics or formatting and with copious text encoding. And
now, if I try to save webpages in the "single-file.mht"
format, the operation always fails.

3.) Quick-View, which always worked
smoothly in the past, doesn't seem to be working even with
simple Word files. I receive the message: "Whoops! Unable
to view this file."

---- If anyone out there can shed some light on these
problems, it will save me weeks or even months of
clueless thrashing about..

Thanks-- Susan

your might want to check the following in your window
explorer

under the tools command
go to folder option and then file type, ensure the file
type eg. jpg valid program associated in the operations
