Colunm A date from January 1st till Decmebre 31
column b sales car and c also

i need formual to give total sale value for march or april

please help

'Sum of sales in ColB for the month March 2009
=SUMPRODUCT((TEXT(A1:A100,"mmyyyy")="032009")*B1:B100)

'OR with query date in cell reference say(F1)
=SUMPRODUCT((TEXT(A1:A100,"mmyyyy")=TEXT(F1,"mmyyyy"))*B1:B100)
