Jump Menu on FP2003

Quick question. I have inserted a jump menu in my disc web. However, it is not part of my nav bar on the left. It is actually just above my nav bar on the left. The problem is, when I inserted the jump menu it my index.htm page, it doesn't insert the jump menu into all pages in my web, even though it's inside of the left border. Does anyone know a way that I can insert the jump menu (and it contents) into all pages in my web without having to insert them manually in all pages? Thanks in advance for eveyone's help.

Just to add a bit to the last question. Also I have a page that is named "MRP's" Notice that is with the apostrophe Well, when I entered that URL link that page to my jump menu. I will not work, it won't send me to that page it will just say page error in my browser ( Ex: Option: MRP's , value: http://www.mydomainname.com/mrp's.htm). Do I have to enter it with another code instead of the apostrophe? Or do have to change the name of the file/ page? Hopfully not......Is there an easy way around that?

I believe jump menus don't work in shared borders.
As to your second question, I make it a habit not to use ANY special characters in filenames. One never knows how it affects some server setup. I also us all lower case without spaces.

Change the name of the file.

Ok cool. So, would you have anything to suggest to help correct my problem with the apostrophe? Change the name of the page or just recreate a new page with and reword the name of the file with no apostrophe? What would be the easiest way to do it?

When I try to do that it says" are you sure you would like to change the name of the file? I may become unusable." Is there another way to do it?

Henry -

Change the name of the file to lose the apostrophe. Leave the name of the page the same if you like.

Just say ok and make sure that you are doing this in FP in folder view via File Menu | Open Web /
Site and not with just a page open.

Thomas,

So do you know a way that I can insert my jump menu in all pages in my web instead of doing it manually to each page. Refer to the question below..........Thanks

The form and the JavaScript must be between the <body>...content...</body> tags of the shared border
or FP Include Page or if using FP2003 use the DWT.

Instead of shared borders look at using a Dynamic Web Template for your page layout and common content
- then you won't face the problems of scripts not being located in the correct pages
