Jumping to a point in another page in another file

There must be something basic about FrontPage I don't understand. When I
set up the <a href="/otherfile.html#target"> </a> in my front page file to
experiment with my target file which contains the <a name="target"> </a>
that I
want to reach, Frontpage puts me at the very top of "otherfile.html" I'm
pleased that you confirmed my understanding but I don't understand why it
doesn't work.

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean. Do you want to look at the source in
my html file? (How would you do it? that seems useful.)
Or perhaps an example of my experiment?
