Jumpy cursor

When typing in Outlook 2000 or Word 2000, my cursor seems
to jump voluntarily, and sporadically. It will jump to
another spot on the document or already typed in text.
It's a weird problem that's really taking up a lot of my
time. I'd really appreciate the help.

Are you using a laptop with either a touchpad or a trackball?

I'm using a laptop with a touchpad.

Thanks again for your reply, and sorry for the late
response. My ISP was giving me problems.

Try plugging in an external mouse (e.g. one with a cable)....this normally
disables the touchpad. If that stops the problem....it was either a faulty
touchpad...or you are accidently touching the touchpad.
