Junk email

Ever since posting a request for help on here I have been
receiving 100's of junk emails a day!! most of them are
just non delivery reports.

Whatever mailing list I have been added to take me off it
immediately, its getting VERY annoying.

This is my work E-Mail & I am an IT support technician so
I need to be able to use this email account to help
people out without spending ages sifting through tons of
garbage.

It's not a mailing list. The problem is that something (evil, twisted,
nefarious) scanned this newsgroup for addresses and harvested yours (along
with countless others including mine) and is now using it as a hit-list

half of them r Microsoft newletters, surely theres a way
to opt-out of them?

I suspect you are talking about receiving a virus. Do these emails have an
attachment of 106kb size, lots of different names, and different from and
sender names? If so, almost certainly the Swen worm, details at
http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp and there is nothing you can do
to stop them except hope that all the senders get their computers cleaned,
or change your email address.

Paul....your problem is exactly my frustration. Everyday I
am buried with all of these unwanted emails. I helped a
little by setting up a rule that only mail from my contact
list(s) get to my inbox. It helps with the frustration a
little bit.
