Junk filter

I am receiving an increasing number of junk emails - that are sent from
addresses that do not have what Outlook considers a 'proper' email address
name. E.g. the domain name is missing. The junk filter can't stop these
beacuse the filter requires a 'proper' email address.
Perhaps the filter should include an option - where emails from improper and
incomplete addresses (domain name missing etc) can be filtered out?

Invalid addresses should be caught already. If your address is in the To:
field make sure you are not set as a safe recipient yourself.

I checked safe recipients - I don't have any listed.
And I also set the protection level to 'high', it was on low. But I just
received another junk email with no 'from' address at all.
Is there anything else that needs to be activated?

and I have three accounts set up - one Exchange and two POP/SMTP

On which account do you receive the Junk Mail item?
If on the Exchange account make sure you have Cached Exchange Mode enabled.
