Junk Mail Deletion on POP3 "Leave on server until deleted..."

L

Levi Figueira

Hey again,

I've just noticed that emptying my junk mail folder does not remove those
emails from the server!!! :(
Having to move them to the Trash and THEN removing them from the trash seems
to be a LONG way to remove spam from the server!!!

How about a new option on the Account Advanced Settings under "Remove from
serer when deleted from 'Deleted Items'" like "Remove junk mail from server
when emptying 'Junk e-Mail'" ??? =)

Thank you for you attention,
~Levi Figueira

For POP accounts, this appears to be true and I believe it's an oversight on
Microsoft's behalf. Emptying the Junk E-mail folder does not move messages
to the Deleted Items folder, it permanently deletes them and this seems to
bypass the code that tells the server to delete the message.
How about a new option on the Account Advanced Settings under "Remove

I'll agree with that suggestion.
