mail from addresses that are listed under a category in my address book keep showing up as junk mail after I assign the name and address to a category. I have added these addresses to the safe domain list, however, they still show up as junk mail.

What version of Entourage? What setting do you have selected for the junk
filter? I keep a good Address Book and set mine to High.

Safe domains have never been 100% for me.

Basics: The JMF never assigns messages from contacts in your Address Book to
the Junk category.

Since it sounds like you are following the correct procedure, then we need
to look for a rule that's moving the messages. Are the messages in the junk
folder actually marked as junk? It's possible you have a rule or a Mailing
List Manager rule that is moving your messages to the junk folder. It's very
easy to create a Mailing List Manager rule by accident, when you are
marking a message as 'not junk'. (look for MLM entries under the tools menu)
with the incorrect destination folder as the target folder. Mailing List
Manager rules run before your other rules.
