When I move junk mail messages manually into the junk mail folder I still receive messages from the same sender in my regular inbox. Apparently the filter is not working. I'm not sure if it's not working at all or if it's only not working on these repeat messages. I have selected High Protection.

The Junk E-mail Protection filter in Entourage is not a "learning"
filter. Just because you mark a message as junk that doesn't mean it
learns to mark future messages from the sender as junk.

Entourage 2008 introduced a "Block Sender" feature that would allow you
to blacklist specific addresses.

You might have good luck in Entourage 2004 using rules. Have a look at
this page on The Entourage Help page:

"Examples of Additional Junk Rules"
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/rules/junk/examples.html>

Hope this helps!

Yes, but the Block Sender in my Entourage 2008 doesn't work in the newsgroups (where I really need it!) like it did in Outlook. Any chance of fixing that?

Entourage's newsreader has not been improved since it was released years ago
so I would say it's doubtful.

Hi Douglas!

That's not the original poster's question. If you'd like to ask your own
question, please, please start a new thread so that subjects stay on
topic for the person asking the question.

As for fixing anything, no one here can tell you that. If you'd like to
request that as a feature then let Microsoft know by using the Help -->
Send Feedback mechanism in any Office application.
