Hi,
my Junk Senders.txt file is starting to get HUGE - because for a long time I
have diligently added every spam sender to the list (added a "add to junk
mail list" button next to the delete button in the toolbar
However, a little experimentation appears to indicate that "?" and "*" are
allowed wildcard!
eg [email protected] seems to filter all senders such as
(e-mail address removed) out,
but ??**@no.domain.name.given doesn't.... it seems to only filter out
(e-mail address removed) combinations.
These wildcards however don't function consistently, eg I have not found a
combination where *@mx??.*.* would filter out (e-mail address removed)
Can anyone shed any light on the possible variables or wildcards which might
allow a more sophisticated junk filter than a HUGE list of addresses?
Does anyone at Microsoft monitor this newsgroup? Are there any undocumented
tricks for writing "clever" junk mail filter rules into the Junk Senders.txt
or Exception List.txt files?
Cheers,
