Just another validation question

Gupta A.

Hi everyone...I've got a GCSE project with databases which I need help with -
I'm declaring that so that anyone else in my school who sees this post
doesn't copy whatever reply I get...because, you know...that'd get us all
disqualified.

Anyway my question is - is it possible to validate a field so that its in
the "LLDD DLL" format...where "L" is a letter and "D" is a digit...the catch
is that the first four digits aren't necessary, but the last three are. Any
help would be great.

depending on what you're doing, the easiest way might be to use an input
mask. take a look at the InputMask Property topic in Access Help for more
information. (that should be general enough for you and your classmates to
each get credit for figuring out the specifics on your own. <g>)
