Just noticed 10.1.8 update in Mactopia

OS X 10.4.8
Entourage X

I just checked Mactopia and noticed that I did not have update 10.1.8
applied to Microsoft Office X.

10.1.8 update:
Applies to: Office v. X, Microsoft Word X for Mac, Microsoft Excel X for
Mac, Microsoft PowerPoint X for Mac, Microsoft Entourage X for Mac

However, after a successful update to 10.1.8, Entourage X is still 10.1.6
according to About Entourage.

What happened? Should the update not have had an effect on Entourage X since
it applied to it as well as the other components of Microsoft Office X?

Hope that I didn¹t screw up my Office X program.

That is quite normal - not every application gets updated each time- often
the changes are in the support files.

To see if the update has been applied, check this file:
/Applications/Microsoft Office/Office/Microsoft ComponentPlugin
