A
Amethyst
I just thought I'd crawl out from my cave, just in case anyone was
beginning to think I'd disappeared (though the flood of emails voicing
concern has been tumultuous I must say... You all have my address, it
would be nice if you could use it occasionally...Makes a girl feel
wanted, y'know...)
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, me. I left home roughly 10 days ago (I
have lost track of time at the moment, it could be longer, could be
shorter, I really have no idea) intending to go and stay with a friend
in Hereford (if you Yanks don't know where that is, ask Ed) for a few
days. Whilst I was there, I fell apart completely (for those of you
who don't know I have ME and severe mental health issues). I called a
friend (OK, he's my lover, my mentor, my bestest friend in the entire
universe but, unfortunately, he's married and that's one thing I do
*NOT* do - break up happy marriages. Yes, he has a very understanding
wife - she knew what he was like when she married him). Because he has
issues of his own to deal with, he couldn't do anything at that
particular time and I had to leave where I was staying (the girl I was
staying with has ME too, but she's more seriously afflicted than I am
and she couldn't cope with me being there) and I found myself
traipsing round Hereford looking for a B&B. I found one and I was
intending to spend the night there, but I found myself in Hereford
County having taken 64 Anadin and most of a bottle of Red Square. My
friend, being completely psychic, called me about 15 seconds after I'd
done it and knew immediately what I'd done - I didn't need to say
anything. If it hadn't been for him, I don't think I'd be here now.
Anyway, he fixed me up with a friend of his in Manchester (again, ask
Ed) and I'm currently staying at her flat, having declared myself
homeless. I don't know when I'll be back on line for sure (I'm having
problems with sorting out my benefits) and I'm sending this via her
hubby's laptop (they're separated).
Anyway, that's more or less what's been going on for the last
fortnight. If anyone would care to email me, you know the address (if
you don't again, ask Ed. Or Jo. Or possibly Mike of he still has it).
Anyway, I don't know when I'll be back (I can hear the collective sigh
of relief from here)
warmest wishes,
Sarah
