Justify

I'm proofreading our organization's newsletter which someone just sent to
me. She has (rightly so) justified the paragraphs, but the last sentence in
each paragraph is also justifying itself, thus spreading out just a few
words the whole width of the page. I've never had Justify do that. How can
that be fixed? Thanks.

Turn on special characters. Could be the sender used shift+return, this will
cause the spread. A tab maybe. Viewing special characters will help.

Thanks, Mary. I see there is a little left-pointing arrow between
paragraphs, whereas in another article (where Justify did NOT spread out the
last/shorter line) there is the Paragraph sign at the end of each paragraph.
So that may very well be the problem. But how can I change that?

There are a couple of times you see a left pointing arrow.
Appears at the end of a line when you press SHIFT+ENTER. (If you backspace it
should go away, use a space instead).
or
Text-wrapping break
A symbol that indicates that text is wrapping below an object, such as a
picture.
