Word XP, Windows 2000
In a new or existing document, I click "insert", then "Picture", then, after
2 or 3 seconds (before I can select a file) Word completely closes - without
a trace. I need to insert a graphic images into several documents and this
is making me absolutely crazy. I don't even get as far as selecting an
image ... it closes before I can even go to the directory I want, so I know
it's not due to a corrupt graphic file.
I tried a "repair" --- didn't help, then I uninstalled, rebooted and
reinstalled --- didn't help, then I uninstalled, deleted folders, rebooted,
did a complete install, rebooted --- didn't help.
The problem just won't go away!!. I've deleted temp files, run a checkdisk
and a did virus scan ... all ok. I tried another pc at this same location
and there are no problems inserting an image. I know that this was not a
problem, a few months ago.
Any thoughts? I could sure use some help with this one.
Thanks in advance. Diana
