KB822036 causes VB macro to malfunction

We use a VB Macro in Word XP SP2. After application of KB822036 and KB824934 active.document seems to be selected randomly (?) among open documents. The macro worked fine before the patches was applied. We also see that Word crashes frequently when the macro is in use. This is a critical application for us, so MS: Please patch the patch!!!
