Yesterday I started my Outlook 2003 to check my emails and it worked fine
(routing junk mail to the junk mail folder as normal and non-junk mail to the
inbox). A few minutes later, automatic updates promted me that there were
some new updates available. One of them was a Junk Email Filter update for
Outlook 2003 (KB981432). I downloaded this update along with some others and
was promted to restart my PC. I did so and after it booted, I started
Outlook 2003 to finish reading my emails to discover new Junk Mail was being
routed to my Inbox and NOT the junk mail folder. I tried adding this new
junk mail to my blocked senders list and it still kept coming into my inbox
(from the same sender I just added to my blocked senders list), even after
restarting Outlook.
I went into the control panel and removed the KB981432 update and now my
Outlook 2003 is working fine (the junk mail filter has been restored and is
now working properly).
MICROSOFT: PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THE KB981432 UPDATE AND FIND OUT WHAT
YOU'VE DONE WRONG IN IT.
